Overview
The council is currently reviewing its equality objectives in order to develop a new Strategic Equality Plan for the period 2016-2020.
The nine equality objectives set in 2012 were on: transportation; fostering good relations; our role as an employer; mental health; equal pay; benefits; leisure; data; and consultation, engagement and communications. The results of this consultation will be used to help shape the final equality objectives for the council and will feed into the draft action plan which will be developed as a result. Further consultation will be undertaken this spring on the proposed action plan.
How to respond
This consultation period will begin on the 4 February 2016 and close the 25 February 2016. You can respond or ask further questions in the following ways:
