Next steps towards new recycling centre

Councillors have been discussing the next steps towards creating a brand new community recycling centre at the Village Farm Industrial Estate in Pyle.

Funded childcare scheme launched

Working parents in Bridgend County Borough are now able to access up to 30 hours of funded early years education and childcare for their three and four-year-olds.

Annual summer beach ban

With summer on the way, dogs will not be allowed at Rest Bay, Town Beach, Coney Beach and Trecco Bay between now and September, but they are welcome all year round at Kenfig National Nature Reserve, Sker and Newton.

Bank Holiday recycling and waste changes

There won’t be any recycling and waste collections in Bridgend County Borough on Monday 6 May due to the May Day Bank Holiday, so collections will be one day later than usual for the rest of the week up until Saturday 11 May.
