Work has begun on a £500k investment programme aimed at refurbishing play areas across the county borough and replacing out-of-date equipment. The work is being undertaken in a series of contracts managed by the Green Spaces section.

RNLI lifeguards have now returned to Rest Bay, joining Coney / Sandy Bay and Trecco Bay which are already patrolled daily by the charity's lifeguards between 10am-6pm.
