Warning after lighter causes recycling fire

Bridgend County Borough residents are being warned not to put candle and barbeque lighters out with their kerbside recycling or bin bag collections.

Washed up cargo clear-up operation

Much of the debris and cargo from missing storage containers washed ashore locally has now been cleared from beaches across Bridgend County Borough.

Tonnes of cardboard recycled during lockdown

Residents in Bridgend County Borough recycled 1,470 tonnes of cardboard during the lockdown from the beginning of April to the end of July – an increase of 284 tonnes for the same period in 2019.
