Apply for nursery admissions online

Applications can now be made online for nursery places for children who will be starting school full-time in September 2019 or part-time from January/April 2020.

As well as being able to complete traditional paper forms, parents and carers have the more convenient option of applying online. They simply need to sign up for free to the ‘My Account’ feature at www.bridgend.gov.uk then submit an online form before the deadline of 25 March 2019.

Online applications make the whole school admissions process much easier for parents and carers. When the 2019 secondary school admissions were made available online recently, we received almost a thousand digital applications in the first two weeks.

As well as enabling residents to apply for school places, My Account also lets residents manage their council tax accounts, check their housing benefit and more. It will gradually provide residents with even more efficient ways of accessing council services.

Once parents/carers have submitted their application, they will be able to see in their My Account that it has been received, giving them peace of mind. They will then be notified of the outcome of full time nursery applications on 20 May 2019 and part time nursery applications in November 2019.

A separate application process is in place for admissions to voluntary aided or church schools, and parents and carers will need to contact them directly to request an application form.
