The first of this year’s monthly street markets in Bridgend town centre will be held on Saturday 17 March, with around 20 market chalets selling food, crafts and unique products.
A number of local businesses and traders from further afield will be selling their wares on Caroline Street, with ‘Dough To Go’, ‘The Craft Hand’ and ‘Good and Proper Brownies’ among the new stallholders joining the returning regulars from last year such as ‘Wales Ales’, ‘VKMGEMZ’, ‘Simply Grace’ and palmist, Anna Lee. There will also be live Irish music to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
The street market has been organised by Bridgend County Borough Council with support from town centre traders who are part of the ‘CF31’ group, and will take place from 10am – 4pm. Further street markets will then take place on the third Saturday of every month up until October.
The monthly street markets that were held last summer were very popular, so we’re pleased to bring them back again this year. With plenty on offer for shoppers, entertainment for the kids and lots of eateries, the street markets are a welcome addition to the town centre, and complement the indoor market.
