Following on from the successful ‘Choose a career in social care’ campaign, Bridgend County Borough Council will be promoting further social care job vacancies at several job fairs throughout July.
Support and guidance will be on offer to those who are interested in ‘building a career’ or ‘switching to a role’ within social care.
Members of the local authority’s recruitment and social care teams will be available to answer any questions and provide information on the numerous social care vacancies and training opportunities on offer. Enquiries from drivers and non-drivers are welcome.
The free, drop-in events will be held between 5pm and 7pm, on the following dates:
Date |
Venue |
5 July |
Halo Ynysawdre Swimming Pool |
6 July |
Sarn Adult Support Centre, Sarn |
12 July |
Pyle and Porthcawl Community Hub, Pyle |
These drop-in events are a fantastic opportunity for people to find out everything they need to know about working for the local authority in the social care sector. The benefits of working in social care are wide-spread. You don’t need to have any previous qualifications or experience, but it does help if you are a caring person by nature. Not only is it a very rewarding and fulfilling career, it’s also a job for life. We provide full, and free training, and will be there to offer you support and advice every step of the way.
