Latest update on mobile testing arrangements

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has confirmed the latest arrangements for mobile testing in the county borough.

The testing units in Nantymoel and at the site of the former Revlon (Cosi) factory in Maesteg have now closed.

Mobile testing facilities remain available between 9am-3pm at Ogmore Vale Primary (CF32 7AJ) and Porthcawl Comprehensive School (CF36 3ES). Booking appointments to use either of these sites is recommended, but not necessary.

The walk-through testing centre at the Bowls Hall car park in Angel Street, Bridgend (CF31 4AH) is available between 2pm-8pm, and booking remains essential for this site.

You can arrange appointments by visiting the Welsh Government website or calling 119. If you have hearing or speech difficulties, you can call 18001119 as an alternative.

Across the county borough, 98,000 people are now fully vaccinated with almost 310,000 people fully vaccinated across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region.

This week the first 16 and 17 year olds have been coming into the community vaccination centres for their Pfizer vaccine which is by appointment only. Having the vaccine helps to protect you, your family and friends and wider community.

Anyone who develops a new, continuous cough, a high temperature or a change to their sense of smell or taste is urged to book a test immediately.
