Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has confirmed new arrangements for mobile coronavirus testing facilities in Bridgend County Borough.
The drive-through facility currently available at the site of the former Revlon / Cosi factory off Oakwood Drive in Maesteg will close at 5pm tonight (Thursday 12 November).
The drive-through facility will then move to the Bowls Hall car park of Bridgend Life Centre where it will be available from Friday 13 November between 9am-5pm, including on weekends.
To use this facility, which will be drive-through only, you will need to book an appointment in advance by visiting the Welsh Government website.
Residents should only attend a mobile testing centre if showing symptoms of coronavirus such as a high temperature, a new persistent cough, or a loss or change in your sense of taste or smell.
Once the test has been completed, you must return home immediately to self-isolate until the results have been confirmed – please do not undertake any activities that risk you coming into contact with other members of the public. While most people will receive their results via text message the day after taking a test, some results may take a little longer.
The mobile testing facilities are proving to be a popular and effective way of ensuring that people who are experiencing coronavirus symptoms can access a fast, free check.
To find out more about the additional ways in which you can obtain a Covid-19 test, please call 119 or visit the coronavirus page at the Welsh Government website.
