My Account service for residents is changing

Residents who use Bridgend County Borough Council’s My Account service to access their council tax and housing benefits accounts are being informed that from Sunday 28 March 2021, they will no longer be able access their details via the current platform.

The existing online service for council tax and housing benefits will not be available for 10 days while the council switches over to a new platform.

While residents won’t be able to register their council tax or housing benefits accounts until 7 April 2021 on the new platform, they can set up an account from Monday 29 March to continue accessing other online services.

Due to our current provider withdrawing its services, we are switching to a new digital platform that will eventually offer residents a broader range of online functions. Users who sign up to the new platform can continue to access the same services like council tax, housing benefits, school admissions, self-isolation payments, residential parking permits and school transport.

In the future, we will look to add other services such as reporting highways issues, including potholes and street lighting, environmental issues, pest control, registrars and more.

Re-registering your account is easy and will take just a couple of minutes. We recommend that existing users of My Account use the same email address to create their new account. You will be sent a link to the new My Account platform once it is launched in order to register your details and access your account.
