Bridgend County Borough Council is in the process of appointing new contractors to construct a children’s placement and assessment hub.
Demolition and site clearance is currently underway on the site of the former Brynmenyn Primary School to make way for the development of a new hub which will support children and young people to have the assessments and support they need.
We are hoping to shortly appoint new contractors to undertake the construction of the hub with work planned to start in early Spring.
In the meantime, work on the site clearance is continuing and is due to be completed by mid-January. Throughout this time, we will be working alongside our contractors to ensure there is minimal disruption to the local community.

The development is being jointly funded by Bridgend County Borough Council and Welsh Government through the Integrated Care Fund (ICF) capital programme.
Being purpose-built, the new hub will help to maximise the health, safety and wellbeing of Bridgend children and young people, providing a modern environment for them, and the experienced staff who take care of them.
