The outcome of the consultation on the proposed enlargement of Mynydd Cynffig Primary School will be presented to Bridgend County Borough Council’s Cabinet.
A consultation was launched in November to gather the public’s opinions on a proposed £10.2m two-form entry school and a 75-place nursery on the site of the existing Mynydd Cynffig junior school, with effect from September 2025.
The school will be net zero carbon in operation, producing zero or negative carbon emissions as part of its operational energy. It is envisaged that the school will benefit from a central ‘street’ which can be used for independent learning, dedicated groups rooms, classrooms conducive to 21st Century teaching and learning, and two all-weather sports pitches.
Both virtual and face-to-face consultations were organised for members of the public, school governors, school council, and school staff.
The outcome of the consultation, will be presented to Cabinet at 2.30pm on Tuesday 8 February 2022.
