Pyle Swimming Pool is undergoing major refurbishment works, following a £200,000 investment by Bridgend County Borough Council and Halo Leisure.
The works include creating modern, and accessible family changing rooms in both the male and female changing areas, along with new vanity units, energy efficient showers and around 30 new cubicles.
New ceilings and energy efficient lighting is also scheduled as part of the upgraded installations and will complete the works in the changing areas.
Accessible changing spaces are also being built on poolside, incorporating the latest equipment and creating a much-improved space for people who need additional support when changing.
We are delighted that modernisation works at Pyle Swimming Pool are almost complete. It is also pleasing to learn that these upgrades that have been developed to take into account specific accessibility and carbon reduction measures.
The new facilities will make the pool more energy efficient, improve facilities for all customers and ensure the building is fit for purpose for generations to come.

Maesteg Sports Centre has also been earmarked for major refurbishment later this year and Maesteg Swimming Pool is due to have a Pool-pod installed to assist with easier access into the water.
