Essential resurfacing works on the A4063 Maesteg Road in Tondu are due to start next week with drivers being warned that delays are likely.
The works form part of Bridgend County Borough Council’s highway improvement programme, which is seeing roads across the county borough undergo resurfacing, repair and improvements as part of a £2.7m investment into the local highway network this year.
Works on the stretch of road between the junctions of Cross Street and Derllwyn Road are planned to commence on Tuesday 2 November and are anticipated to be completed within two weeks, subject to weather conditions.
While some of the works will be carried out between 7pm and midnight, to maintain access to businesses as far as possible, most are expected to be take place from Monday to Friday, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
As part of our ongoing investment into the highway network, this section of Maesteg Road in Tondu is being resurfaced.
We apologise for the temporary inconvenience this will cause to drivers as in order to enable the works to take place, there will be traffic signals in place with traffic being restricted to single lane use. To limit disruption as much as possible, the highway improvements works will take place during off peak hours. We ask drivers for their understanding and patience while they’re completed.
