Rest Bay, Trecco Bay and Porthcawl Marina have all retained their coveted Blue Flag awards which recognise the highest levels of cleanliness and water quality.
We are proud that these three sites have each retained their Blue Flag Awards. A Blue Flag is a mark of the highest environmental standards which is trusted around the globe. The sight of a Blue Flag is a guarantee to visitors that they’ve arrived at a quality destination.
We all have a responsibility to help keep our local beaches as clean as possible. With the weather starting to warm up, and another Bank Holiday weekend approaching, I would like to remind everyone who is planning on visiting our beaches to leave only their footprints and please dispose of their litter responsibly.

The Blue Flag programme is owned internationally by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), with more than 4,000 award-winning sites in nearly 50 countries.
Full details of all this year’s Blue Flag award winners in Wales can be found on the Keep Wales tidy website.
A total of 44 Blue Flags have been awarded across Wales this year by environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy, meaning that Wales has more Blue Flag beaches per mile than anywhere else in the UK.
