Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has confirmed that Covid-19 vaccination appointment letters have been sent to everyone over the age of 50 in the region.
Bridgend County Borough residents in priority groups one to nine who have not heard from the health board yet are assured that their letters are on the way and should be landing on doorsteps in the next week or so.
Residents are encouraged to do all they can to make their appointment, but if they are unable to, they should let the health board know via the contact details in their appointment letter so the slot can be offered to someone else.
Across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg area, more than 265,000 vaccines have now been given, meaning more than one in two people have now been vaccinated. This includes more than 80,000 vaccines given in Bridgend County Borough.
Residents are warned to be alert as scam text messages and emails are circulating claiming to be from the NHS, inviting them for a coronavirus vaccine if they confirm their identity by entering bank details.
The NHS may invite you for a vaccine by text but it will never ask for bank details. These scams are sophisticated but they can be avoided - please pay close attention to any texts and emails you receive. You can forward suspicious texts to 7726 free of charge.
