An online virtual exhibition and question-and-answer session will take place this week to provide people with an insight into the £6.4m Porthcawl and Sandy Bay Coastal Improvement Scheme.
Construction specialists Knights Brown have organised two Zoom sessions on Thursday 5 August, one at 12noon and another at 6pm.
The sessions will explain how the scheme is targeting the Western Breakwater, Eastern Promenade, Rhych Point and Relict Dunes in order to protect Porthcawl from flooding and any potential future rise in sea levels.
To join either of the sessions, use the following Zoom links:

- 6pm session: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81359300046
More information on the sessions can be found in the latest news section at the project website, www.porthcawlsandybay.wales.
The virtual sessions will offer Porthcawl residents and anyone who is interested in this work a chance to meet the contractors for this ambitious project, and to find out exactly how this vital work is going to protect more than 500 homes and 170 businesses while safeguarding vital infrastructure.
It promises to be an extremely informative event, and I hope that as many people as possible will attend to find out more.
