Vulnerable children will receive an egg this Easter

A local appeal across Bridgend County Borough has ensured that underprivileged children will receive an egg this Easter.

Dozens of eggs have been kindly donated to Bridgend County Borough Council’s children’s social services department as a result of Bridge FM’s annual Easter egg appeal, which is supported by Bridgend Shopping Centre, G4S Parc Supporting Families at HMP and YOI Parc, and Graham Paul Chartered Accountants.

Local shoppers were encouraged to purchase an extra egg while out shopping and to leave it at various donation points in participating stores at Bridgend Shopping Centre, including Peacocks, Farmfoods, Iceland and Poundland.

The Easter eggs were handed over to the council’s children’s social services department for distribution to local vulnerable children just before the Easter break.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of local shoppers in Bridgend County Borough and BridgeFM.

A huge thank you to every single person who has donated an egg to the appeal. Without your kindness and contribution this initiative wouldn’t be possible. There will be many happy children once again this Easter.

Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council, Councillor Huw David
