The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust has relocated some of its crews into Bridgend County Borough Council’s Bryncethin depot as part of measures to ensure sufficient workspace distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.
A number of ambulance crews and vehicles have moved across to the depot from the Bryncethin ambulance station.
A few days ago we were contacted by the ambulance service to see if we had any suitable buildings they could use during this very difficult time. We were able to quickly organise the exclusive use of a large part of our Bryncethin depot due to it being vacant at this time.
We are hugely grateful to the ambulance service for the vitally important work they are doing on the front line.
We were pleased to be able to help in this small way and will continue to do so in any other way we can.

A large cohort of staff are based at the Bryncethin ambulance station covering all aspects of operational staff.
Operational Team Leader for the Welsh Ambulance Service, Craig Figgures, said: “We really appreciate the swift response from the local authority. It’s great we are pulling together at such a difficult time.”
