Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has published a series of answers to frequently asked questions around the coronavirus booster programme.
The FAQs, which are available at the Cwm Taf website, are designed to clear up confusion over why the booster vaccinations are necessary, how they can be accessed and more.
In Bridgend County Borough, care home residents have all received a Covid-19 vaccine booster shot, and the booster programme is currently targeting frontline health and social care staff and vulnerable people who are aged 80 and over.
It will later focus upon people identified as having underlying health conditions and weakened immune systems, and people who are aged 50 and over.
The boosters are being delivered in the same order used for the first and second dose phases of the vaccination programme, and appointment letters are being issued to everybody within priority groups one to nine who has already received two doses of the vaccine.
The frequently asked questions at the health board website are designed to provide clarity and peace of mind. They cover a wide range of different angles and issues, and I strongly urge anyone who is concerned about the booster vaccination programme to take a closer look.
