Pre-deposit local plan documents
The pre-deposit local plan documents note the vision, aims, options and preferred strategy for the county borough.
The council must publish the pre-deposit local plan and consult the public before developing a final version. The Local Development Plan (LDP) preferred strategy was published in September 2019.
Local development plan consultation
The LDP preferred strategy is the basis for a full detailed strategy that will be created for the county borough. The full strategy will include: - policies, proposals and land use allocations.
The LDP preferred strategy consultation ran from 30 September 2019 to 8 November 2019. The consultation received 70 formal representations.
The council need to publish a draft LDP consultation report as soon as possible after consulting with the public.
Local development plan report
We have published an LDP consultation report which notes how the council has consulted publicly on the preferred strategy.
The report gives the steps taken to prepare the plan in line with the Community Involvement Scheme (CIS). CIS is a scheme run by the government to improve the quality of public roads which need repair.
The report shows the main issues found during consultation and how they will be addressed. It states how consulting with the public will influence the deposit LDP’s development.
