Golf courses
There are seven courses in Bridgend County Borough. They range from world class to family-friendly, and they have been visited by greats such as Tom Watson, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and many others.
Bridgend Golf
This nine hole course has a family friendly driving range, and an inviting coffee shop.
Saturday to Sunday: 8am to 8pm.
Coed-y-Mwstwr
This scenic parkland course overlooks the Vale of Glamorgan, and is twinned with the luxury hotel of the same name.
Maesteg Golf
Located high amongst the rugged Welsh Valleys, this course has breathtaking views.
Pyle and Kenfig
This award-winning course nestles amongst majestic dunes. It was the Golf Union of Wales’s Golf Club of the Year 2017, and, at the onsite hotel, you can immerse yourself in the links.
Royal Porthcawl
This is one of Europe’s finest links courses. In fact, it hosted the Senior Open in 2014, and 2017. The onsite dormy accommodates twelve, and from the clubhouse there are stunning, ever-changing views of the nearby 40 foot tidal range.
The Grove
Porthcawl’s parkland course is a fantastic challenge for golfers of every age and ability.
St Mary's
This course is set amongst woodland near Pencoed, and is attached to a hotel.
