Street collection licence
To collect money or sell articles for charitable or other purposes in England or Wales, you need a street collection licence from us.
Depending on your collection’s type and location, you may need permission from other agencies or organisations before applying.
Please note: The council’s policy is to grant one permit per area per day.

You can act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from the local authority by the target completion period’s end.
Please note the target completion period for street collection applications is 28 days.
If you have a specific date for your proposed collection, you should contact us to check if this date is available before submitting your application.
Please forward the relevant documents to the us at least 28 days prior to the proposed date of the collection.
