Citizens' Panel
The Citizens’ Panel is made up of a group of people who live in Bridgend County Borough and are regularly consulted on services run by the council.
Members of the panel can receive up to three surveys per year on a range of topics, services and issues.

Engagement and Participation
Our Participation and Engagement Strategy has been developed to outline the steps we will take as a council to keep people well-informed about our services.
We want to build trusting relationships within our local communities and improve our accessibility and accountability to local people.

The National Principles for Public Engagement in Wales give guidance for best practice on citizen engagement.
We have signed up to the principles, which were endorsed by Welsh Government in March 2011.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales champions equality and human rights for all.
It works to end discrimination, reduce inequality, protect human rights, and build good relations. The aim is to ensure everyone has a fair chance to participate in society.
We have a law in Wales that helps us all work together to improve our environment, our economy, our society and our culture.

This is called the Well-being of Future Generations Act.
