Corporate Parenting Strategy

Co-produced with a group of our care experienced children and young people, Bridgend Corporate Parenting Strategy sets out what the Council and its partners will do to be the best corporate parents we can be.

The strategy contains the commitment of Cabinet Members and officers from partner organisations expressed as promises to our care experienced children, young people and care leavers.

Care experienced children, young people and care leavers have the right to be safe, healthy, to learn, have a wide range of opportunities and experiences offered to them and to thrive just like other children and young people.

In Bridgend County Borough, we are committed to  working collaboratively with all organisations to fulfil our corporate parenting responsibilities and support our children and young people so they feel respected, valued, cared for, and can reach their full potential in what they choose to do.
