£2.5m to strengthen Blackmill bridges

Improvement works totalling £2.5m will be spent on strengthening two bridges in Blackmill so that heavy goods vehicles can continue to travel along the A4061 between Bridgend and the Ogmore Valley.

£400k programme of pavement improvements underway

With £1.5m worth of resurfacing upgrades nearing completion on some of Bridgend County Borough’s most well-used routes, a £400k programme of pavement improvements is now getting underway.

New heritage trail for the Ogmore Valley

A new interactive heritage trail is set to reveal the history of the Ogmore Valley. Starting at Bryngarw Country Park and winding up the valley along the cycling and walking route to Nantymoel, the trail will be dotted with information panels which will document the area’s past and highlight places of interest as well as additional walking and cycling routes.

Views wanted on proposals for Maesteg Town Hall

Bridgend County Borough Council and Awen Cultural Trust are inviting people to attend drop-in sessions to view new artist illustrations and discuss plans for the redevelopment of Maesteg Town Hall.
