Storm Dennis clean-up operation continues

Highways teams at Bridgend County Borough Council are today (Monday, February 17) continuing the clean-up operation across the county after Storm Dennis.

Delays due to wind turbine deliveries

Drivers are being warned to expect long delays while wind turbine towers, blades and other equipment are transported through parts of Bridgend County Borough early next month.

Free Christmas parking

Shoppers, visitors and traders are set to receive an early Christmas present with news that parking will be free after 10am on every Saturday throughout December.

Seafront road closed during the Porthcawl Elvis Festival

To help ensure that crowds attending the Porthcawl Elvis Festival (28 – 29 September) can enjoy strolling safely along Porthcawl’s seafront in their blue suede shoes and colourful costumes, a stretch of the main road along the esplanade will be closed for the majority of the weekend.

More safe routes for walking and cycling

More than £3.6m worth of transport and active travel improvements will be made in Bridgend County Borough over the next year thanks to grants from Welsh Government.

£2.5m to strengthen Blackmill bridges

Improvement works totalling £2.5m will be spent on strengthening two bridges in Blackmill so that heavy goods vehicles can continue to travel along the A4061 between Bridgend and the Ogmore Valley.
