Free Christmas parking

Shoppers, visitors and traders are set to receive an early Christmas present with news that parking will be free after 10am on every Saturday throughout December.
The free parking is being provided by Bridgend County Borough Council and will be available at the Hillsboro car park in Porthcawl and at the Rhiw multi-storey in Bridgend.
It will be in addition to year-round free car parking which is available at Maesteg and Pencoed.
Intended to support local traders in the run-up to Christmas and the New Year, the free parking will coincide with Santa Claus’ grotto, which will be available between 10am to 4pm at Carnegie House on Saturday 7 December and Saturday 14 December.
The festive season is one of the busiest trading times of the year, and we’re pleased to support our local businesses by providing this free parking. Bridgend, Porthcawl, Maesteg and Pencoed all offer a diverse range of shops, attractions and places to eat or drink, and I hope that visitors and shoppers will buy locally, and come and see for themselves what the county borough can offer.
