Library service successes highlighted in report

An assessment of Bridgend County Borough’s libraries by Welsh Government says the service has continued to perform well particularly in reducing barriers to access for the community.

Prison sentence and lifetime ban for horse trader

A horse trader and breeder has been convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to horses and sheep following a successful prosecution by the Shared Regulatory Service, which represents councils in Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Awen Cultural Trust has launched a new 360° virtual tour of the libraries it manages across Bridgend county borough, to provide reassurance to customers returning to borrow books following the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
