Feast your eyes on this weekend’s Bridgend FEASTival

The Bridgend FEASTival will be held in Bridgend Town Centre this Saturday 18 May (10am - 5pm), with a variety of local food and entertainment on offer!

The event is organised by the Bridgend Traders Forum to showcase the best food, produce and drink across Bridgend and the surrounding region, with support from Bridgend CF31 BID, the Rhiw Shopping Centre, Indoor Market and Bridgend County Borough Council.

Amongst the stallholders this Saturday you will find great food, live music, local brewers, craft ales and other fine Welsh produce. South Wales’ singer-songwriter Ragsy, who has previously starred on The Voice, will be combining singing and cooking in the town centre from 12 noon.

Also keep an eye out for other cooking demos from two of Bridgend’s food companies. Shelly’s Deli will be showing off their culinary skills from 11am to 12pm, followed by the Black Rabbit from 3pm to 4pm.

All the family are invited, with the further activities on offer including fun rides for children, face painting and craft stalls.

CF31 BID Manager, Justin Jenkins said “This is a great opportunity for the quality food and drink retailers and producers to showcase what Bridgend town centre and surrounding area businesses have to offer. Only this week, two town centre businesses picked up first places at the Food Awards Wales. Poco Poco won the category for ‘Best World Cuisine’ while Shelly’s Deli were named ‘Best Produce of the Year.’”
