PopUp Business School another roaring success!

Over 80 upcoming local entrepreneurs have gained the knowledge and tools needed to start their own business after attending a week-long course with the PopUp Business School last week.

The PopUp Business School, which took place at Halo’s Bridgend Life Centre, encouraged participants to take the first step in setting up their own enterprise and was fully supported by Bridgend County Borough Council’s Employability Bridgend team, which is funded by the European Social Fund and Welsh Government.

Covering a range of subjects each day from how to start a business for free to sales and the dark art of marketing, participants were thrilled with the advice and knowledge on offer to learn from and develop when starting their own businesses. Participants also discovered how to make an effective free website and how to find customers online and offline through powerful marketing and sales techniques.

Kaylea Robyn Dowling, who attended the PopUp Business School last week, said: “I attended this free event with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The content and delivery was exceptional and the information shared was pure gold.

“I’ve been in business for eight months now and have learned so much that I wish I knew when I first started out. The PopUp Business School truly care about helping as many people as possible and I would encourage anybody who gets the opportunity to attend one these events to jump at it. You will not be disappointed.”

The PopUp Business School was a huge success in Bridgend County Borough once again with over 80 attendees eager to learn new skills and knowledge to take their business idea to the next stage.

Going forward we will continue to work with local entrepreneurs to support them in bringing their idea to life. If you have any queries or would like further help and support I would encourage you to get in touch with our friendly Employability Team for more information.
