Spaces available for school ‘Food and Fun’ events

Limited spaces are still available for children to take part in the ‘Food and Fun’ programme at Cynffig Comprehensive school this summer.

The fun-filled programme will offer children aged 9-11 the chance to take part in a number of exciting activities including parkour, cheerleading and even a visit from a dairy farm calf.

As well as activities, those taking part will also benefit from a free healthy meal as the annual programme aims to help parents meet the costs of school holidays.

Sessions will be available to children living in the catchment area of Cynffig comprehensive school including Cefn Cribwr, Kenfig Hill, Pyle and Cornelly and will run from July 26 to August 12 between 9am – 2.30pm.

The Food and Fun programme is a great event for keeping children entertained over the summer holidays and also supports parents.

It is brilliantly run and the staff work hard to offer a diverse range of fun and healthy activities for children to enjoy and learn from.

The event is already proving to be extremely popular and places are being provided on a first-come-first-served basis, so don’t delay if you want to take part.

Councillor Dhanisha Patel, Cabinet Member for Wellbeing and Future Generations
