Tickets released for Bridgend Town Centre’s Santa Trail

People can book tickets from 4pm this evening (Friday 19 November) for this year’s free Santa Trail taking place in Bridgend town centre on Saturday 27 November.

Visitors to the Santa Trail will walk through various Christmas-themed zones set up in the town centre featuring live music from local choirs and bands, a snowstorm, a Santa selfie sleigh, street entertainment and the chance to meet Father Christmas and his reindeers.

Access is by ticket only for specific timeslots and numbers are limited to comply with Welsh Government coronavirus guidance, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Hand sanitiser stations will be available at each zone.

Tickets are free and are available to book through Eventbrite. If you require any assistance or support in booking your ticket, please contact our Customer Services team by emailing talktous@bridgend.gov.uk or by phoning 01656 643643.

The Santa Trail, organised by Bridgend County Borough Council in partnership with EPM Creative, is just one of the ways in which local residents and visitors are being invited to celebrate the festive season.

With a focus on shopping locally, the local authority is helping promote businesses via digital apps and a Christmas website where traders can post a range of offers.

Launched today (Friday 19 November), local residents and visitors are invited to download the We Love App in Porthcawl, Maesteg and Bridgend, and click on the Christmas website to make the most of an array of offers, vouchers, discount codes and more. There’s even the chance to win personalised messages from Santa.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming local residents and visitors to what we hope will be a very magical event next weekend.

There are only limited tickets available due to the Welsh Government’s coronavirus advice to restrict numbers, so we encourage all those who want to come to book as soon as possible.

This year, more than ever, we are asking local residents to support their town centres by shopping locally and enjoying everything our county borough has to offer from independent shops to larger chains and a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Councillor Stuart Baldwin, Cabinet Member for Communities

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there will be no public event for this year’s Bridgend town centre Christmas lights switch-on. Keep an eye out on social media for a video showing the moment Christmas officially arrived in Bridgend town centre.
