Tips for celebrating with colleagues safely this Christmas

‘Tis usually the season for work Christmas parties but this year we’ll all be doing things a bit differently as coronavirus continues to spread in our communities.

Employers in Bridgend County Borough are being urged to take their festivities online so their workers can celebrate together safely.

Public Health Wales has pulled together some ideas for online Christmas parties:

  • Hold a virtual secret Santa
  • Get crafty and have a best designed bauble contest
  • Deck the halls for a best dressed home work space competition
  • Pit your wits in an online quiz or play games
  • Compete for the title of best decorated festive bakes
  • Bring your pets to the party
  • Have a sing song together with some Christmas carol-oke

Bridgend County Borough Council’s Leader Huw David said: “Virtual Christmas parties are a great way to get together for fun and laughter from the safety of your own homes.

“By taking a fresh look at how we can celebrate together while apart, we can keep each other safe from Covid-19 this winter.”
