Early Help Hubs
There are three Early Help hubs in Bridgend. They are located in the following parts of the county:
- Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen (CCYD) – North Hub
- Brynteg School – East Hub
- Pyle Life Centre – West Hub
The Early Help hubs are an early intervention service offering high quality assistance to children, young people and their families
Working alongside a wide range of local community and partnership agencies, the team are able to tailor support to the many needs families face in their day to day lives, providing short term help.
The team aim to meet families in a place comfortable for them, this could be the family home, the local Hub or school if this is preferable.
The Early Help hubs consist of a wide range of services which include:
- Family Support Workers
- Flying Start Support Workers
- Wellbeing Workers
- Lead Workers
- Education Welfare Officers
- Family Engagement Officers
These Support Workers can work together with parents, children and young people to find the right solutions for them and their family in a number of ways including:
- Direct delivery of a range of evidence based family programmes
- Providing practical help and support
- Act as a key worker for a family
- Advise on a wide range of community based services
- Complete Family Based Assessments and support plans
