Summer of fun 2022

As Wales starts to recover from the social, emotional, and physical impact of the pandemic, the wellbeing of children and young people remains a top priority.

This Summer we want to see children and young people aged 0-25 re-engaging with society, reconnecting with friends, and rediscovering their favourite hobbies.

The Summer of Fun initiative will encourage young people to engage in social, cultural, and physical activities outside of formal learning. Plus, with free activities available in both Welsh and English across the whole of Wales, there’s something suitable for everyone. Free activities to support our young people and help families across Wales with the rising cost of living over the summer months.

A world of adventures is opening up this summer across Bridgend County Borough, with lots of fun activities for children and young people delivered by the Council and its many partners.

From keeping active to letting your imagination run wild, summer doesn’t get more exciting than this!

We have also worked alongside BAVO to support a broad range of community groups and organisations to develop opportunities for children and young people of the age 12 and above. The groups and organisations will be arranging and promoting what is available to their members and the public. There is a variety of activities including sport, creative, environment and youth opportunities across Bridgend County Borough.
