Key council documents, plans and strategies from Bridgend County Borough Council.
The Bridgend Biodiversity Duty Plan, 2022-25, sets out the actions the Council will take for the next three years. It is informed by the recommendations of the Progress Report, which highlighted both strengths on which to build, and areas for improved delivery.
Co-produced with a group of our care experienced children and young people, Bridgend Corporate Parenting Strategy sets out what the council and its partners will do to be the best corporate parents we can be.
Our Corporate Plan for 2023-28 sets out the council’s priorities and how we will work alongside local people and partners to provide services over the next five years.
A Destination Management Plan has been introduced for Bridgend County Borough. It aims to bring together local government organisations, businesses and the community to develop a thriving visitor economy.
Our Digital Strategy outlines how we aim to achieve a Digital Council that recognises and aligns with the ambition of the Welsh Government ‘Digital First’ strategy and the UK Government Transformation Strategy.
This strategic plan sets out our ambitions for the future of education and family support services in Bridgend and brings together our ambitions and operational goals to tackle the impact of poverty and support people to live healthier and prosperous lives.
Our Participation and Engagement Strategy has been developed to outline the steps we will take as a Council to keep people well-informed about our services.
The Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) considers the wider role that biodiversity plays in providing benefits to Bridgend County Borough.
The Local Transport Plan covers Bridgend County Borough and sets out our priorities for transport investment over 15 years.
We have committed to the Net Zero 2030 target as an organisation and recognises the leadership role to enable wider Net Zero for businesses and communities in the county borough.
Our Strategic Equality Plan sets out how we will meet our equality objectives and make our services accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of those who live, work and visit the county borough.
The Well-being Statement sets out Bridgend County Borough Council’s well-being objectives and describes how they will help us to achieve the seven well-being goals for Wales.
Every year, we must publish a self-assessment report. The report assures Welsh Government that we are performing well, making decisions in a sensible, open way and using our money and other resources properly.
The Council is committed to ensuring that people living in the county borough are safe and protected and that its statutory duties to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults at risk are effectively discharged.
