Shaping Bridgend's future 2017

Overview

Following continued reductions in funding from central government all councils across the UK are having to change the way they work and the services they provide so that they can manage with less. Bridgend County Borough Council has reduced its budget by over £36 million over the past four years and is expecting to continue making reductions over the next four years, totalling a further £35 million on top.

Despite the financial challenges ahead, Bridgend County Borough Council is determined to deliver its vision of working together to improve lives across the county borough by focusing on the priorities you helped us set two years ago:

1. Supporting a successful economy;

2. Helping people to be more self-reliant;

3. Smarter use of resources.

The council would like to hear the views of local residents, organisations and communities on where the council should seek to realise the budget reductions that it has make.
