Overview
It is proposed to relocate YGG Cwm Garw from Pontycymer to a new build Welsh-medium primary school on the current Betws Primary School site, which is a distance of 4.7 miles. This would create a school capacity of 210 pupils plus a nursery of 45 full time equivalent pupils. It would also allow for growth in demand for Welsh medium education and accommodate extra pupils coming from an enlarged catchment.

| If agreed by the Cabinet of Bridgend County Borough Council, a Public Notice will be published and there will be a period of 28 days in which to submit any objections to the proposal in writing. | 24 June 2015 |
| If there are no objections Cabinet can immediately decide whether to proceed or not. If there are any objections, an Objections Report will be published and forwarded to Cabinet for their consideration and subsequent determination. The approved report will then be published on the BCBC website and hard copies of the report will be made available upon request. | 2 September 2015 |

*Please note that responses to consultation will not be counted as objections to the proposal and that objections can only be registered following publication of the Public Notice.
This is a fresh consultation on the proposal to relocate Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Cwm Garw to the Betws Primary School site. All views expressed during the course of the previous consultation regarding this proposal, which was determined and subsequently abandoned by Bridgend County Borough Council’s Cabinet, will not be considered unless formally requested during this consultation period.
