Sixth forms to be retained at all schools

Secondary schools in Bridgend County Borough are to keep their sixth forms and increase their use of blended learning techniques for delivering academic improvement and greater educational opportunities.

Tell the council when food parcels are not required

Families where children are eligible to receive free school meals are being reminded that they need to inform Bridgend County Borough Council if they are planning to go on holiday or spend time away from home over the summer period so that weekly food parcel deliveries do not take place.

Working in ICT during the Covid-19 pandemic

It’s been a hectic few months for the ICT team at Bridgend County Borough Council - ordering hundreds of laptops during a worldwide shortage, dealing with twice the number of cyber-attacks and ensuring that council staff have been able to work from home.

Free dog waste bag stations installed

Three new dog-waste bag stations have been installed along popular dog walking routes between Llangynwyd and Cwmfelin to encourage owners to pick up after their pets.
