Clearing up after storms Eunice and Franklin hit the county borough

Crews from Bridgend County Borough Council attended several hundred incidents of blocked culverts, flooding, fallen trees, broken branches, obstructed roads, demolished structures, damaged roofs and more after the county borough was hit by storms Eunice and Franklin in quick succession over the weekend.

Winter Fuel Support Scheme Payment Doubled to £200

Eligible households facing rising energy bills are to receive an extra £100 relief payment as part of the Welsh Governments’ Household Support Fund which is providing £51m of targeted support for families and the most vulnerable in society.

Council to seek views on extending public space orders

Bridgend County Borough Council is planning to consult local residents over proposals that could extend existing Public Space Protection Orders in Bridgend town centre, Maesteg, Porthcawl, Pencoed and Caerau.
