Delays due to wind turbine deliveries

Drivers are being warned to expect long delays while wind turbine towers, blades and other equipment are transported through parts of Bridgend County Borough early next month.

Cabinet to discuss extra £8.8m

The Cabinet of Bridgend County Borough Council is set to consider budget proposals for 2020-21 which could see an additional £8.8m invested in schools, highway maintenance, street cleansing, services for children who have additional learning needs and more.

550 more foster carers needed across Wales in 2020

The Fostering Network has estimated that 550 foster families will be needed in Wales to keep up with the widespread demand. To combat this, Bridgend County Borough Council has launched, #20 Reasons, a campaign to encourage people within their local area to consider fostering.

Apply for nursery admissions online

Applications can be made online from Monday 6 January for nursery places for children who will be starting school full-time in September 2020 or part-time from January/April 2021.
