If an adult member of the household is diagnosed with a severe mental impairment, then depending on the number of adults in the property, you may qualify for a reduction in your council tax.
To qualify the following information must be provided:
The size of the reduction -This will depend on the number of adults resident in the property and could range from 0% to 100%.
You can make an application online. You will first need to log in/register for My Account to access the Council Tax portal.
When within the portal click on "View Council Tax reduction services" and "Apply for a reduction if you are severely mentally impaired or you have someone living with you that is" to access the application form.
