Christmas and New Year Collections 2021/22
There are changes to waste and recycling collections over the festive period in Bridgend County Borough.
Please place your recycling and waste at your property’s edge by 7am on your collection day.

Our recycling centres at Brynmenyn, Tythegston and Maesteg will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but will be open on all other days as normal from 9am until 4pm.
Additional Waste Allowance
Residents can place an extra blue bag of household waste out for collection on their first refuse day after Christmas.
From Monday 10 January 2022, the two-bag limit will be back in place.
Cardboard Collections
Kier will have an additional recycling vehicle out to collect cardboard. If yours isn’t collected with your recycling, please leave out for collection, crews will aim to come back to collect later.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Real Christmas trees can be taken to your local recycling centre or Waterton Depot for recycling from Tuesday 4 January 2022.
Please ensure you remove all lights and decorations from your trees before recycling.
