Overview
We are required to produce a Strategic Equality Plan (SEP) which highlights the council’s equality objectives for the next four years. We consulted with the public and local equality and diversity groups on these objectives in February 2016 and the seven objectives of transportation; fostering good relations and awareness raising; our role as an employer; mental health; children; leisure, arts and culture; and data were approved by our Cabinet in March 2016.
We are now in the process of developing the actions that will sit under these objectives. For some of the actions we will be working in partnership with other organisations/people.
