Garden waste
You can now register for 2022 garden waste collections online.
Garden waste collections for 2022 will take place between 14 March – 18 November.
Garden waste collections are available to Bridgend County Borough residents.
Collections of garden waste take place every two weeks between March and November (14 March – 18 November 2022).
Please place your garden waste at the kerbside between 7pm the evening before and 7am on the day of your collection.
Please note: Your garden waste collection day will be advised with the delivery of your sacks.
Cost
There is an annual charge of £41.01 per household, or £36.73 for pensioners. Each household that registers receives two garden sacks for collecting and storing their garden waste ready for their collection day. Additional sacks can be purchased for an additional annual fee of £5.35. This charge is non-refundable.
We collect:
- plants
- flowers
- weeds
- grass
- leaves
- hedge clippings
We don’t collect:
- kitchen waste
- general waste
- soil
- rubble
- logs
- invasive species such as Japanese knotweed
You can also recycle your garden waste free of charge at your nearest recycling centre.
Please note: If you move house, the collection can be moved to your new address if it is within Bridgend County Borough. Please contact us with your new address details.
