Civic offices close to public

Bridgend County Borough Council’s civic offices will close to the public from tomorrow due to the ongoing concern over the spread of coronavirus.

The customer service centre and front desk at the civic offices in Angel Street, Bridgend will close at the end of today (Monday, March 23).

They will remain closed until further notice.

Many services can be accessed online using a phone, tablet, PC or laptop.

They include services relating to housing and housing benefit, homelessness, blue badge applications, school admissions, recycling, waste and the environment as well as council tax, reporting issues and licensing, business rates and planning.

We have taken the decision, following government advice, to close our offices to the public. We ask residents to use the online My Account service, Oggie webchat facilities and the Housing Jigsaw portal for homelessness and housing which can all be accessed via the council website.

People can also email the council at talktous@bridgend.gov.uk or call 01656 643643. All our teams are working hard to continue to provide essential services to our communities and we ask for understanding from our residents as we deal with these very challenging circumstances.

Bridgend County Borough Council Leader Huw David
