Planning and building control
Due to the ongoing situation around the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Local Planning Authority, Building Control Section and Strategic Transport Section at Bridgend County Borough Council will still work slightly differently for the foreseeable future. Staff will be working from home until further notice but can still be contacted.
For general enquiries please email planning@bridgend.gov.uk.
For building control enquiries please email buildingcontrol@bridgend.gov.uk.
For Enforcement complaints about unauthorised development please email planningenforcement@bridgend.gov.uk.
Please note that it may take longer than normal to register/process applications and respond to enquiries. We continue to accept new planning and building regulations applications (preferably electronically through the Planning and Building Control Portals) and we will still field electronic requests for pre-application advice.
However, we may not always be able to offer face-to-face meetings in person (although we are utilising Teams meetings) in order to maintain social distancing protocols and limit the risk of transmission.
We have gone back to physically visiting sites and erecting site notices.
Finally, we will continue to operate virtual Development Control Committee meetings through Teams until the restrictions are lifted and it is possible to return to the Civic Offices and undertake meetings safely from the Chamber. Details of DC Committee dates are posted online.
Should you have a specific enquiry about a live case, please contact the case officer.
For Local Development Plan related enquiries please contact the Development Planning Section on developmentplanning@bridgend.gov.uk.
